Eminem and Rihanna’s The Monster Single has successfully sold 433,000 downloads this week.
This is a whopping 123% increase in sales from the sales recorded form the previous week. This week has also been the highest week that the record has sold.
This is a report coming from Nielsen SoundScan figures that were put up by billboard.com. The Monster single features Rihanna and it was recorded that during its first week of release the single sold a total of 373,000 copies back in November 2013. Now the single has sold a total of 2.2 million copies.
The Reigning Single
The Monster single by Eminem feat Rihanna is currently the #1 single on the Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop song for a record nine weeks! The single features on Eminem’s “The Marshall Mather LP 2” the LP are the #3 most selling album in the United States this week.
The album has garnered over 122,000 copies this week alone and this is a six percent increase in sales from the previous week. To date, Eminem’s latest album has sold well over 1.7 million copies.
The Monster single which is collaboration between Eminem and Rihanna was always expected to be a huge hit and this week the single got a surprise second wind after iTunes gift purchases saw the single go up 123% in sales records. This is huge given that the video was dropped in October of 2013.
Thanks to the large volume of iTunes gift cards during the festive period, Eminem’s and Rihanna’s fans did not disappoint them by buying their single in large numbers. The week that ended on 29th December 2013, “The Monster” single sales went way up.
It has been rumored that the single is set to stay on top of the R&B/Hip-Hop Song chart for a while longer. On the other hand, the album is slated to slide into second position and first position is sales continue to increase in this length.

The Monster single was recorded in Eminem’s the Caucasian sensational rapper’s Home Town in Detroit Michigan. The single was made at Effigy Studios located at Ferndale, reports from M Live. The single also has other ties to Michigan.

Just recently, the song’s video was released and it has a rather intense storyline and the effects and visuals are out of this world. The song has superseded 44 million views after being online for just three weeks!
