International Runway Fashion Model Alva Page Joins Vyzion Models

International Runway Fashion Model Alva Page has had his figure on the pulse of all things beauty and fashion related for 15 years and counting.
International Runway Fashion Model Alva Page has done it all. He has contributed to such productions as Mercedes Benz "Alva Page"Fashion Week, Cayman Islands Fashion Solstice, Tim Johnson Productions, Banana Republic Fashion Show, TV Land’s “She’s Got the Look,” BET Rip the Runway and MTV Made just to name a few. Page’s models have gone on to work with such greats as Bramer Leon Stevens, Korto Momolu, Tracey Reese, Givenchy, Perry Ellis, and Valentino.

Alva never wanted to be a international model. His initial aspiration was to become an actor. 15 years ago a letter in the mail set a chain of events into motion that would prove to be the makings of International Fashion Model Coach Alva Page. The Letter was from John Casablanca, the Founder of the Elite Agency. In it, was an invitation for Alva to come to Florence South Carolina to audition to become a model. That invitation impacted A Page’s life. Page met with Trish Holms, the Director of Casablanca Center and was ultimately accepted to go be tested. After testing, which included a photo shoot and a monologue, Page was told that he did not belong in school. He was encouraged to jump start his career as oppose to taking a more traditional route. With a new confidence, Lake City South Carolina native, Alva Page embarked in a journey that would bring him as close to New York as he could get. North Carolina was the recipient of the man who would come to be known as International Runway Fashion Model Coach Alva Page

Page attended modeling conventions for the sole purpose of getting into the modeling network. It was at one of these conventions that Alva met Martin Snaric, the Prince of the Runway. Snaric has trained the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Whoopi Goldberg on how to move in front of a camera. Under Snaric tutorage Page was mentored on how to train models. Page took what he learned and began training people who would not be traditionally thought of as a model. He fine tuned his concepts and before he knew it word got out and he was finally being paid for his craft. It was then that he took himself more seriously.

Some would say that being a part of the international beauty world has its share of ugly. An unsettling encounter between a model bound to a wheel chair and a casting director, viewed by Page, was the eye-opening experience that brought the purpose to Page’s mission. It was then that Page implemented the teachings of developing beauty from the inside out. Page trains all types of people in the art of self expression in the way they walk, sit and carry themselves. “Everyone is a model….even if they don’t know it. There is a certain amount of confidence that comes from knowing that you have entered a room with the strongest presence you can conjure up. I make it my business to make sure that people own each and every one of their steps and leave a lasting impression on the onlooker. Everyone has their insecurities about something. It is wrong for a person to be judged for something that they cannot change. Even if a model comes to a casting call and I have no place for them….there is a way to be kind with the truth.” Page said as he reflected on the memory.

When asked what his thoughts were on the current state of international fashion Page had this to say, “The world of fashion has come a long way, as it relates to what society perceives as beautiful. There was once a time, not so long ago, when the only people considered to be beautiful were a certain size or a certain color. With the change in times all types of people grace runways all over the world. Modeling in this day and age presents with some challenges as well. There is an infiltration of all types of people who use singing or acting as a gate way into modeling. That coin flips both ways. Look at the amount of singers or rappers who are now considered to be actors. This business is a fickle one. I constantly try to instill a desire to constantly redefine in models. The shelf like for most models is short. A model needs a backup plan…not because he or she expects to fail but because he or she knows that a career as a fashion model can be life-long or as fleeting as a blink. It is imperative that a model always knows what is next.”

With success comes some form of failure in most cases. When asked how he dealt with the constant judging and let downs Page recalled, “I remember being in New York. I had $2.00 to get back to Brooklyn. I heard this booming voice at a tent revival giving his testimony. I remember thinking to myself that the voice sounded like Donnie McKlurin. Low and behold it was him! I remember standing on the opposite side of the fence….hands clinching that wire as if it was the only thing holding me up. He was speaking on how he was trying to survive in this world. …..He said “God said don’t Give Up.” I remember it like it was yesterday. That was my turning point. It was as if I had been given a shot of drive and ambition and IU have never doubted this place that the journey is taking me.”

John Travolta Accused of Sexual Battery and Harassment of Two Men

Am I hearing this right? John Travolta has two lawsuits against him for an alleged sexual battery and harassment of two men.  Wow, I done "John Travolta"heard it all!
John Travolta is being sued by two unidentified male masseurs.
I am trying not to laugh while I type this one. I wonder if John Travolta got a little excited while getting his massage. Was he expecting a “Happy Ending”? Who doesn’t want the “Happy Ending”? Well not by a stranger.

Anyway, both men alleged that the “Grease” star tried to have sex with them during two separate massage sessions. One lawsuit was filed Tuesday morning claiming that he had witnesses to back him of Travolta actions. This was supposed to have happened at an Atlanta resort.  Now the other plaintiff files his suit in Los Angeles federal court on Monday. The two men who have the same legal representation and are each seek $2 million in punitive damages in their separate sexual harassment and battery case.  According to the court documents the plaintiff from Beverly Hill Hotel on Jan 16 said a naked John Travolta groped him trying to have sex with him. He also said that John Travolta suggest a threesome with a Hollywood starlet and also to him that he “got where he is now due to sexual favors he had to perform when he was in his ‘Welcome Back Kotter’ days.  The lawsuit says Travolta also said, “Hollywood is controlled by homosexual Jewish men who grant favors in return for sex.” I am not shocked.

John Travolta camp completely denied the allegations saying they were completely fiction and a fabrication. They said that none of the events claimed in the suit were true and the plaintiffs who refused to give their names knew that it was lies. The camp says, "On that date when plaintiff claims John Travolta met him, John was not in California and it can be proved that he was on the East Coast. Plaintiff's attorney has filed this suit to try and get his 15 minutes of fame. John Travolta intends to get this case thrown out and then he will sue the attorney and plaintiff for malicious prosecution." Side bar… I don’t get the 15mins of fame point. If both plaintiffs didn’t disclaim their name then how are they going to get 15mins of fame? No one will know who they are. Of course John Travolta is going to deny the allegations. I would too if someone was trying to sue me for money. Just like the Justin Bieber case. Do people really think that child wasn’t his? Of course I still believe it was and I think they paid that girl off and tried to put it on her ex-boyfriend. That girl knew. You don’t hear about it anymore do you? Of course not.

But it has been out for years that the industry is full of gay men that make you have sex with them just so you get further in your career. I remember hearing that allegedly George Lucas would make every single person that wanted to star in his movies have sex with him. They call this the “casting couch”. It doesn’t have nothing to do with women just sleeping with men it’s mainly men sleeping with men. This is also what people keep talking about when they say “You Sell Your Soul To The Devil”. It’s not about really selling your soul to the devil. It’s about losing yourself worth in order to get fame and fortune. Is it really worth it? So now John Travolta has to go to court just to get these allegations thrown out. I believe there is some truth to it, but what does my opinion matter. You make your own…

Giff and Jimmy Jones as the Doo Dew Kidz, created club classics like “Pick Em’ Up”, “Watch Out For The Big Girl”, and “Shout”. And Booman continues to bring the Club hits through a constant flow of remixes (Most recently: Usher, Kim Zolciac (Atlanta Housewives), Jay Sean (Cash Money Records), Jim Jones, Katy Perry, Taxi Doll), traditional Club tracks, and club/hip-hop hybrids.

While keeping a constant, constructive presence in his hometown of Baltimore, DJ Booman also expertly navigates the national market, with his 1996 remix of Michael Jackson’s “Strangers in Moscow” and more recently, a bonus track on Diddy’s Press Play (Diddy even developed a viral “dance contest” video for the song), and his association with the world famous Bumsquad DJs.

DJ Booman’s served extended stints as a mixshow DJ on Baltimore’s WERQ 92.3 (“92 Q”) and WXYV (“V 103”), toured the mid-Atlantic college circuit as the premiere university DJ all through the 90s, and can still be caught mixing it up in at least one or two Baltimore hip-hop and club spots every week as well as tour dates spinning dance parties and serving as tour DJ for Baltimore Legendary rapper Mullyman. Paired with his promotional work through Crooked Streetz Entertainment, his Bosstalk mixtape, Promobile Marketing group, and One Stop Entertainment Source (O.S.E.S), DJBooman himself could be called a “one stop entertainment source”.

And all the while, he holds it down through Club tracks, a hip-hop production career (the Baltimore City Paper named him “Best Beatmaker” in 2008), and pioneering Club/rap hybrids with local legends like Mullyman (“Party Walk”, “Bmore Go Harder”) and the supergroup of the 410 Pharaohs (Booman, Jimmy Jones, Labtekwon). The 410 Pharoahs’ 2008 album 410 Funk won “Best Local Album” in the City Paper (that’s two awards for Booman last year if you’re counting) and received positive press in XLR8R and numerous House and dance music websites. 2008 Booman partnered with Baltimore powerhouse DJ Excel to become VP of Bmoreoriginal Records, the two have elevated the club music genre to incredible heights through their groundbreaking internet site www.bmoreclub.com

2011 is shaping up to be an equally fruitful year for DJ Booman as he remains ever-present, through production on Mullyman’s “Bmore Go Harder” and "she hurtin em" which has videos by noted artist and video director Tabi Bonney as well as videos by famed director Grench, all of which have seen rotation on MTV networks, Booman recently contributed 6 tracks on Mullyman’s new collaborative cd with G_Unit’s DJ Woo Kid and is in the studio working on Jeff Miranda’s (Snookie’s boyfriend from Jersey Shore) new CD. FBI Arrests Former NFL Players For Tax Fraud

In today’s fast paced world, where the greed for instantly turning rich has caught on like a wild fire, trusting people has become a grave challenge. Covetousness has pushed people to go to any extent for earning a profitable income, even if it means damaging others faith and hope. "FBI arrests football players"The belief in working hard to make a virtuous living seems to have vanished. The world is swiftly gaining momentum towards making quick bucks through unscrupulous methods. It’s a dampening fact that people today easily swindle the money from others, and by the time they realize being cheated, it’s already too late to cry over the spilled milk.

Now-a-days, an alarming rate of fraudulent activities is being highlighted in the news and media. No newspaper is complete without the mention of scams and fraudsters. Recently, the news that hit the crime scene involved former NFL players who were arrested for evading taxes.
The FBI agents have arrested a couple of ex-NFL football players and a former local high school star in Miami on the pretext of fraudulently cashing and obtaining tax-refund checks and seeking a loan
It’s sad to watch eminent personalities stoop so low to save their money.

The money involved in the scam alleged to be several hundred thousand dollars, and therefore putting the culprits behind the bar had to be an undercover operation. It was designed to block the identity-theft and tax-refund scheme. As per FBI, the names of the three arrested former players are William Joseph, 32, of Miramar, Louis Gachelin, 31, of Miramar, and Michael Bennett, 33, of Tampa. They were granted bonds by the U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert Dube. In 2003, William Joseph was drafted in the first round by the New York Giants and last played with the Oakland Raiders in 2010. Michael Bennett was drafted in the first round by the Minnesota Vikings in 2001 and last played with the Raiders in 2011. And, Louis Gachelin signed as a free agent with the New England Patriots in 2004.

Their lawyers declined to comment on the situation, and they are set to appear in the court on May 15. For investigation, the FBI has also arrested five other defendants. They are charged with cashing a total of about $500,000 by forging signatures on the checks and unlawfully using identification documents such as a driver’s license. The sting operation was both a tedious and an expensive task, and therefore the FBI agents were duly paid for their remarkable services.

We all desire to be rich and successful and working hard for it is the only way to achieve it. People in their gluttony tread on crooked paths that lead to nothing, but downfall. Often people in power misuse it to earn money, and they fail to realize the aftermath. A crime committed in passion bears heavily on the soul, forever! Honesty is the best policy! We all should try to encourage our friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances to lead onto the righteous path of honesty and hard work, it may be tough, but surely rewarding.

MMA Backyard Brawl - Family Arrested For This Illegal Act

A family in Florida were recently arrested for organizing an MMA brawl in their backyard. These fights are unofficial and do not allow rounds, "MMA"gloves or time limits. Essentially, the rule is that there are no rules and many of the fighters have been severely injured during these brawls. The brawl continues until one of the fighter’s sustains such painful injuries that they can no longer continue to fight.

Brandon Harrison, his wife Angela Harrison and Gage Ford, Brandon’s 17 year old son, were arrested by police and have been charged with the third degree felony of ‘promoting or sponsoring an unlicensed boxing match.’ All three of those arrested and charged were held on a bond of $1500. The match was organized in their home in Lehigh Acres. Videos of the organized brawls had been posted onto Facebook; it was these public recording which eventually raised questions. Police found the videos and immediately arrested and charged the organizers.

Kimbo Slice, an
MMA
fighter is said to have spurred others to try their hand at this dangerous activity when a video recording of his backyard brawl hit YouTube and received millions of views. The illegal fights have mainly been occurring in the south of Florida, particularly in one neighborhood of Miami Dade County, called Perrine.

These at-home brawls are held in secret, with the organisers only telling those who are willing to pay the $20 entrance fee to watch the fight. The winner of the brawl is then awarded the prize of the collected entrance fees of the audience. Although the police have been working to prevent and close down these illegal brawls, there are now so many held all over the state that it is becoming difficult for officials to keep track.  The son of Angela and Brandon Harrison, Gage Ford attends East Lee County High school. It was here that detectives discovered the boys who had been seen participating in the fights in the videos on Facebook. Witnesses at the school told police that Gage Ford had been encouraging his fellow students to take part more than two months before the match occurred which led to both his and his parents’ arrest.

Backyard MMA brawls have become wildly popular in the south of Florida over the last 5 years or so. A promoter of these brawls nick named ‘Dada 5000’,has launched the careers of several MMA fighters.  A number of videos of these brawls, including one of ‘Kimbo Slice’ went viral on YouTube. These videos are thought to have inspired others to try their hand at MMA fighting in their own backyard, for the purposes of entertainment and money making.

A documentary about this dangerous ‘sport’ is now being made by the filmmakers Billy Corben and Andrew Spellman. The documentary, named ‘Dawg Fight’ centers around the brawls in the Perrine neighborhood and is said to air sometime later this year.
