Destinie Serenity Chicago Supermodel Joins Vyzion Radio

Destinie Serenity was destined to be someone amazing. Born in the west suburbs of Chicago, Destinie was always an intellectual determined girl. Never giving up on the things she hoped for in the future. Being raised by a single mother, the hardships and pressure was doubled, but she never allowed that to define her. Destinie’s first encounter with modeling came when she was only 6 from her mom’s job at Petterson Associates which was a business designed in photographing different catalogs. Destinie was in spreads for JcPenny, Lay Z boi, and other department and furniture stores. From there, Destinie’s focus remained on school to assure her education. Graduating from Lyons Township High school with an Academic Scholarship to Illinois State University,

As a freshman, Destinie was just like every other student who was lost, confused, and uncomfortable in a new setting. With that, she began a mentoring program with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. called sigma carnations. With this big brother little sister program, Destinie begin to fit in as well as understand the college life and make sure her mind stayed on the prize. Destinie completed the process and became a Sigma Carnation in the fall of 2007 with the new name Carnation Serenity because of her calm, peaceful, and understanding personality.

As the years continued, Destinie became a part of different fashion shows and pageants hosted at Illinois State University, as well as different dance competitions with her dance group Black Diamonds, dancing hip hop and jazz. Although there were some photo shoots throughout her college years, her main focus was to graduate to make her family proud.

Graduating in December 2011 with a Bacholors of Arts and Science, Destinie Serenity was more ready than ever to continue where she left off in modeling. From then Destinie Serenity has worked with many different photographers, has been a part of N’dulge boutique clothing line shoot and also have been in fashion shows. She has many many events in the upcoming months and is excited about the progress and the hard work she has put in.

Destinie’s goal as a freelance model right now is to network and get exposure to show off her full potential. Runway and Promotional modeling is Destinie’s focus, however she loves print, commercial, eye candy and is getting into a lot of acting as well. Destinie Serenity is multi-talented and is waiting to show case all her talents. Hiphop Team Swagg City Boston is a music group based out of Maynard, Massachusetts. SC is short for "Swagg City" which is used mainly on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. SC was started by Anthony Dugas and Jacyn Norfleet as two kids with dreams to become artists and turn it into a career. In September of 2011, Dugas posted a Facebook message to Jay for a spot to make SC. Ever since then they started recording. Shortly after talking they got a hold of "DJ Doubletake" who worked with them for a few sessions then the distance became a hassle so they switched to a producer based out of Maynard, TNOVA. TNOVA worked with them for about 3 months and produced 5-8 songs with them then broke ways to build their own studio which they are currently using to this day. SC has been building a fan base mainly through Facebook Pages. They started in October 2011. As of 2/28/2012 they have built it to 1,187 fans. Swagg City released their first mixtape called "The Alumni" which had over 1,600 views in the first day. The Mixtape contained 13 songs mixed from different producers. Dugas and Jay have expanded from just music as they film "SCTV" which stands for Swagg City TV. They do skits all over Massachusetts. They also now produce local artists to expand the voice of other artists in the Maynard, Massachusetts area. Rebecca Marotta, Who is the Manager of Swagg City also films all the shows, Music Videos, and Photoshoots.

Swagg City Boston has done a number of shows and also they are most known for "giving back" to Michael Murphy, A kid who had a dream of becoming a rapper and loving The Boston Bruins. That dream was cut short after an accident that gave him serious brain damage. Swagg City Boston and Boston Bruins player Tyler Seguin teamed up and visited his house to support him and do anything they can to raise money. After that Rebecca Marotta, Who is now Dugas's fiance and currently the Swagg City Boston Manager joined the team. Rebecca has reached out to many names including Moufy, Sammy Adams and more since starting. Rebecca has also gotten Swagg City on Vyzion Radio, Which is top 40 biggest online radios.

Dugas is currently living in Maynard, MA where the studio is and Jay is currently in Dorchester. The family has been growing since with over 1,200 Facebook followers, 2,000 Twitter Followers and 2,000 on YouTube.

CBS Radio Personality Gets Ready for the CIAA

 

February 15, 2012 (Charlotte, NC) – As Charlotte's favorite celebrity checks out his CIAA schedule, he embraces the motto "Go Hard or Go Home." CBS Radio personality Nolimit Larry will work on little to no sleep during the annual tournament that will bring over 100,000 people to Charlotte Feb. 27th through March 4th.

      The CIAA is the most popular historically black college and university basketball tournament in the country bringing a slew of celebrities from Diddy to Rick Ross to the Queen City for games and night life entertainment. Nolimit Larry will host an array of events as well as wake up at 4:00 each morning to host his daily radio show, Nolimit Larry & the Morning Maddhouse on WPEG Power 98 (97.9 FM).

      He will spend the week interviewing music artists, actors and CIAA officials about their plans for the big week. Lil Wayne at the 2012 Grammy’s was absolutely the worst dressed artist on the 2012 Grammy Awards.  I was totally blown away when I saw his outfit on the awards show. Pajama pants and some kind of bedroom slipper / sneakers?  Were they spongebob slippers / sneakers?

I really, really hope that our youth do not take him as a fashion icon because this is not style! I am so sick right now with the Hop Hop culture right now.  My generation has started the hip hop culture with KRS One, EPMD, LL Cool J, and Queen Latifa.  It was so much better back then when those artists rapped about meaningful topics that were about real issues that we could all take and learn from.  But now, hip hop has gotten so greedy with money that these artists these days rap about popping bottles, drugs and sex like those are the things that our youth needs to work hard for. 

To the youth out there, that is not what you want to look or have others look at you like.  You can and will make a difference in this world by writing, acting, modeling, singing, and rapping to your peers about real issues.  You could change someone’s life.

I am not trying to preach.  All I’m trying to do is put just a little common sense to the youth and these entertainment moguls heads.  Stop doing this to our young people!  They deserve more!
