Andre 3000 as Jimi Hendrix?

Rumors have been in circulation for a while that there might be a Jimi Hendrix movie about his life. Well there may soon be one on the horizon. It is said that Andre 3000 of Outkast maybe staring in the movie as Jimi Hendrix. Andre 3000 is a rapper singer-song writer, multi-instrumentalist, record producer and actor. He is known for hits such as “Hey Ya”, “Roses”, “The Way You Move”, and “TheWhole World”. In his acting career he is known for “Idlewild” and “Four Brothers”. I really enjoyed both films. I was amazed by his acting skills. Some times when an artist crosses over into acting it isn’t a good thing, but Andre 3000 made that transition graceful.

“Captain America” star Hayler Atwell said that the Jimi Hendrix movie might be her next project, but it isn’t set in stone. In 2004 Andre said that he would be portraying Hendrix, but no film was ever produced. Hopefully he finally landed the role. I would love to see the life story of Jimi Hendrix anyway and maybe Andre 300 will play the part well. But we will see. Not sure if this is set in stone, but let’s hope it is…
